About Spain Journey Studio
Spain Journey Studio was created from years of exploring Spain not simply as a visitor, but as someone with personal ties to the country, fluency in Spanish, and extensive experience traveling throughout Spain by road and rail.
I’ve seen how easy it is for travelers to turn a trip to Spain into a checklist: Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Granada, Valencia, all squeezed into ten days.
My approach is different.
I believe Spain is best experienced at a thoughtful pace, with enough time to enjoy the places in between the major sights: a long lunch, an evening paseo, a neighborhood you hadn’t planned to explore, or a small restaurant you discover along the way.
Spain Journey Studio helps travelers create personalized itineraries built around their interests, travel style, priorities, and pace. Rather than offering generic packages or trying to fit as many destinations as possible into one trip, I focus on helping you decide where to go, how long to stay, how to connect everything efficiently, and, just as importantly, what may be worth leaving for another visit.
The result is a trip that feels considered rather than rushed.
About Me
I’m Arun, the founder of Spain Journey Studio.
Travel has been an important part of my life for years, but Spain has always been different for me. I have family connections to the country, speak Spanish fluently, and have spent extensive time traveling through Spain by train and car.
Over the years, I’ve explored not only Spain’s major destinations, but also the practical side of traveling there: understanding how different regions fit together, when traveling by train makes more sense than renting a car, how much time a destination really deserves, and how seemingly small itinerary decisions can dramatically change the experience of a trip.
My background also includes working in travel and customer-focused roles. That experience taught me that good trip planning isn’t simply about recommending attractive hotels or popular attractions. It starts with understanding the person taking the trip.
How quickly do you like to travel? What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t sightseeing? Are food and wine important to you? History? Art? Smaller towns? Do you enjoy having every detail organized, or do you prefer space for spontaneity?
Those questions shape the way I plan.
My goal isn’t to design the trip I would take. It’s to use my knowledge of Spain to help design the right trip for you
Why Spain?
Spain is often treated as though it were a collection of famous cities to be checked off a list.
But one of the things I love most about the country is how dramatically it changes from one region to another.
Madrid feels completely different from Barcelona. Andalusia offers a very different experience from northern Spain. The food, architecture, landscapes, languages, traditions, climate, and pace of life can change considerably within just a few hours of travel.
That variety is what makes Spain so rewarding — and also what can make planning a trip surprisingly complicated.
Should you spend three nights in Madrid or five? Is it worth adding Granada if you’re already visiting Seville? Does San Sebastián make sense on the same itinerary as Andalusia? Should you rent a car or rely on Spain’s excellent rail network? Is another city really worth adding if it means losing half a day to travel?
There usually isn’t one universally correct answer.
The right answer depends on you.
That’s where Spain Journey Studio comes in.
I help travelers look beyond a list of destinations and think about how the entire journey fits together: geography, transportation, pacing, interests, and the experiences they want to remember when they return home.
Because the best trip to Spain isn’t necessarily the one where you see the most.
It’s the one where you have enough time to truly experience it.
